IRRIGATION OPERATIONS
The Department of Irrigation Operations is headed by the Director of Irrigation Operations who is responsible for providing strategic oversight and technical leadership in development of large scale commercial irrigation investments.
SECTIONS UNDER THE DEPARTMENT
The Department has four sections that are headed by Managers. The four sections have the following functions:
Land Administration
- Land identification
- Assessment of land for suitability of irrigation development
- Assessment of compensation for Project Affected Persons (PAPs)
- Preparing compensation assessment report for submission to OPC for funding
- Facilitating payment of compensation
- Facilitating preparation of land certificates to ensure tenure security
- Facilitating leasing and acquisition of land
- Facilitate preparation of maps for project areas
- Preparation of annual work plans and budgets
