Greenbelt Authority(GBA) is a government corporation established under the Greenbelt Authority Act No. 23 of 2017 from the Greenbelt Initiative. The Aim of the organization is to champion large scale commercial irrigation through efficient use of land and water resources in order to accelerate social-economic transformation in the country.

GREENBELT AUTHORITY'S CURRENT PROJECTS AND PROGRESS
The Greenbelt Authority is currently implementing five projects and also overseeing operations of two partnerships between the Malawi Government and the private sector. In this video the Authority takes you through Nthola-Ilola Irrigation Scheme (Karonga), Lweya Irrigation Scheme (Nkhatabay), Chikwawa Irrigation Scheme (Salima), Mlambe Irrigation Scheme (Mangochi) and Nchalo Irrigation (Chikwawa).
